The adoption fee is $400, and you must have proper facilities for keeping a wolf dog and knowledge of their behaviour traits. These are wonderful animals, but they definitely are not for everyone.

We can accept most major credit cards or a one time bank transfer online through our account at PayPal.com, where we are a verified merchant, which means PayPal will guarantee your purchase. We realize you don’t know who we are, so you might also like to check out our profile on eBay.com, where we have 100% positive feedback on all our transactions. We are not professional breeders, these pups are the result of an unplanned breeding of our personal pets. However, we have been selling other things on the Internet since 1999.

Wolf dogs do NOT make good guard dogs, search and rescue dogs, or hunting dogs. Since you will be the Alpha of the pack, they will expect you to protect them, not the other way around. They are mainly good companion pets, and bond strongly to their adopted family. They do not adjust well to being moved to a new family later on, so be sure this is an animal you will want to keep for life, which is 12-15 years for a wolf dog.

Wolf dogs need meat in their diet regularly, and do not do well on soy or corn based dog foods (most of the cheaper brands are mostly soy or corn). We feed ours raw, meaty pork neck bones and raw chicken backs and necks in addition to a high quality, high protein kibble. Organ meat (liver, heart, kidney, etc) of any kind is also a good addition. Most of these meats cost about 50 cents a pound, which is actually cheaper than canned dogfood. We give ours a couple pieces of chicken or neck bones each day, and free feed a good brand of high protein dry dog food in addition.

Low content wolf dogs can be raised in families with children, but as with any large breed dog, they should not be left unsupervised with very small children. If you have children under age 12, I would not recommend a high content wolf dog, but they should be okay with a low content animal, as long as they are supervised. For that matter, I wouldn’t leave my husky or any other large breed dog alone with small children, either.

Proper facilities means a minimum of an enclosure with at least a 6 foot wire fence (8 ft is better) with dig guards that is at least 20×50 (preferably much larger), and you certainly don’t live in an apartment. Wolf dogs absolutely cannot be allowed to run loose. They can travel 50 miles in a single night, and while they can be obedience trained, many do not come reliably off leash in an open area. While many wolf dogs are successfully raised in households with other small pets, they have a strong prey drive and may attack small animals not raised in their pack. Should they get into trouble while running loose, you will be held responsible, and the animal will usually pay with it’s life on a first offense. Proper containment is a MUST.

Wolf dogs are not legal everywhere, so you should check to see if there are any ordinances against them in the community where you live before getting one. Many people choose to tell their vet that the pup is a husky mix, or whatever, and not mention just what the “mix” is. By law, veterinarians are prohibited from giving the rabies shot to wolf dogs, but many will look the other way even when they recognize the wolf heritage in the animal if you haven’t specifically said it’s a wolf dog. Medical treatment for a wolf dog is the same as a dog except wolf dogs may be more sensitive to anesthesia (needing less of it).

Pups will be shipped with a health certificate from our vet certifying they are healthy and they will have their first two puppy shots and first two worming series. We will be available for the life of the pup to answer questions or help in any way we can, should you have questions later. Contact us if you are interested in adopting one of these pups or if you have further specific questions. Choice of pups will be given in the order that adoption fees are received.

This article also contains links to other pictures of each wolf dog pup up for adoption, and will be updated as new pictures are taken and time permits.

Beginning with the photos taken at one month, each pup has a different color collar to make identification in the group wallpapers and photos easier, except the yellow pup, which is obvious.
